- firstly, please register with the name of the character you plan to apply for. we accept both canon and original characters, however, if you wish to apply for a canon, we ask for you to reserve that character before starting your application. your reservation will last five days, giving you up to that amount of time to complete your application. if you need an extension, you will be given a maximum of three extra days. after that, you will need to re-apply for the character.
- please wait until you are accepted before starting to role play with your character. this makes it a lot simpler for us to regulate what's going on in the boards. still, feel free to post in the ooc threads, or the cbox.
- there is a limit of three characters per player, however if you can prove to us, over a substantial period of time, that you can keep them all active, you may be allowed another. you may hold no more than two original characters. your third must be a canon. if you are stuck for ideas on which character to pick, do not hesitate to ask a member of staff, or ask other members for help.
- if you hold a canon and are not active for three days without notice, you will be given a warning. if you hold a non-canon you have a time limit of five days before you get a warning. if you are given three warnings in a row, you will be removed from the site under the assumption that you no longer wish to roleplay with us.
this rule only applies if you have not informed a member of staff that you will not be posting. if we receive word, we will more than likely be lenient with you over this rule. never be afraid to ask. we want to make roleplaying here as much fun as possible.
- bullying in any form will not be tolerated. if anyone is being at all threatening, insulting or just plain mean out of character, please contact a member of staff immediately. cyber bullying is a criminal offense and will be dealt with severely. still, please keep in mind that if a character shows a dislike for your character during roleplay, it is not a personal attack.
- when posting, we do not ask that you write a novel length entry which takes you all evening to write and takes us all night to read. one important thing is spelling, punctuation and grammar. the passphrase to quote in the application is "i play with rubber ducks in the bath". it's very difficult to read a post which is littered with mistakes. it is the quality of your post, not the quantity that matters. still, we ask that you take the previous post into consideration. after all you would not like it if you wrote a fair length and the other person replied with a line or two.
- please label your posts clearly using our setting device. we do not play in real time, so you need to inform members of when and where your thread is set.
- please keep in mind that this is a pg-13 rated site. proboards terms and conditions state that no person under the age of thirteen may be a member. i know it may seem unfair, but we are all bound by the rules. sexually explicit content and images are strictly prohibited, however mature threads are allowed, within reason. all we require is that you use suggestions instead of full out smut. it's not hard so please adhere. whether a thread is too explicit or not will be judged by the staff. if they say you need to tone it down, you must do so. any violations of this rule will result in a severe warning.
- do not spam the cbox. it is free for guests to ask questions, and for members to have chats, but not advertisements. there is a board set aside for exactly that purpose so feel free to use it.
- right, that's all the moaning out of the way, so now all there is to say is have fun! that is what rping is about. and if you have any problems, suggestions or plot ideas, do not hesitate to pm an admin and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
